From being judged on looks and cooking skills to being restricted under rules, it is a tough road for most women.

Breaking the taboo, women came out with hardhitting questions on Twitter, and asked how a different interest or a diverse way of life could bar them from being a good partner.

Celebrities from B-town like Richa Chadda and Bani posted pictures of themselves with placards that had them writing down their views relating to dressing and physical appearance.

The hashtag #NotShaadiMaterial has been trending ever since, and many have taken to the micro-blogging site to tweet out their opinions.

One user wrote, “Just because a girl has more guy friends than just girl-friends!! Does that make her #NotShaadiMaterial?” Another one asked, “If my age is 35 then, am I #NotShaadiMaterial?”
