CHENNAI: An 10-year-old boy from Oklahoma saved his mother when she had a seizure while swimming in a pool on August 5.

Security footage shows the moment when Gavin Kenney helped his mom by dragging her to safety.

The footage shows the woman struggling to breathe and stay afloat as the 10-year-old pulled her towards the ladder on the edge.

Gavin managed to keep his mother's face above the surface of the water for close to a minute until another person arrived to offer help.

The mother, later, shared the footage on Facebook and praised her son for saving her life.

“Gavin had just got out of the pool and was on the porch and that's when he heard me. He jumped in...the dog even tried to get in..he gets me over to the ladder and then my Dad runs in . I'm okay, I took in just a little water we think before Gavin got me. I can't believe I just said that. I can't believe I'm typing this. I CAN believe what I saw in Gavin, my little hero. I just can't believe he HAD to do it and that's what breaks my heart. Thank you God for putting this wonderful little human into my life," Lori Keeny wrote on Facebook.

The video clip has now garnered over 11,000 views and close to 400 reactions. Many users praised the boy for reacting quickly and staying calm during the emergency.
