In the last few days, fans of Vikram have been discussing on social media about who could direct their matinee idol after Ajay Gnanamuthu in Cobra and the ace director Mani Ratnam in Ponniyin Selvan.
A reliable source close to the actor told DT Next that Karthik Subbaraj is in talks to direct Chiyaan 60. “Talks are on for Chiyaan 60 with Karthik. Lalit Kumar is likely to produce a Vikram film again after Cobra. If things fall in place, an official announcement will be made soon. The shoot will go on floors soon and will be simultaneously shot alongside Ponniyin Selvan,” said the source. This update of two national- award winners (Karthik Subbaraj for Jigarthanda and Vikram for Pithamagan) will certainly enthuse movie buffs once the official word is out.

Last seen in Kadaaram Kondan, Vikram will be taking off to Russia to shoot the remaining portions of Cobra once the travel ban is lifted. He will also resume shooting for Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan in
which he plays the Chola king Aditya Karikalan.
