Siddharth to play dual role in his next

Earlier we had reported that Siddharth has been roped in to play a pivotal role in Shankar’s upcoming magnum opus, Indian 2, which features Kamal Haasan as the protagonist. Now, we hear that the actor has signed a new Tamil film, which will be directed by debutant Amirthraj.

A source in the know of things says that the actor will be seen playing dual role and the shoot of the film is likely to begin in the first week of February. “Siddharth will be seen sporting dual role and he has already started working on it.

The film will be a rural drama and major portions of it will be shot in the interiors of Tamil Nadu. An official announcement will be made by the end of this month,” the source says.

We also hear that Nivetha Thomas, who was last seen in Darbar, and Priyanka Jawalkar are in talks to play the female leads in the film. However, they are yet to sign on the official agreement.

Meanwhile, Siddharth is also waiting for the release of an action entertainer titled Takkar, directed by Karthik G Krish of Kappal fame.
