The latest news is that with the release of 100, Ayogya and Kee this week, the distributors have requested the producer Sridhar Arunachalam of Jumbo Cinemas to postpone the release by a couple of weeks.

The film will now release on May 24. Though the movie is not a direct sequel to Kamal Haasan’s Neeya that released exactly 40 years ago, has the crux as same as the original. The story is about an Ichadhari snake, who avenges the death of her beloved. Jai will play the role of a man who does research on snakes. Directed by L Suresh the film cleared the censor with a ‘U’. The film has Bala Saravanan. Shabir has composed the music for the film. Gopi Krishna will handle the cuts, while Rajavel Mohan has operated the camera.
