The producers of the film, too announced that Thalaivar 168 will feature Meena, Khushbu and Keerthy Suresh as the female leads.

Now, the makers have surprised fans, by announcing that Lady Superstar Nayanthara will be part of the film as well. Interestingly, the actress had earlier acted with Rajinikanth in films like Kuselan and Chandramukhi. She was also part of Rajinikanth previous film, Darbar, directed by AR Murugadoss.

Sun Pictures has announced the same with a video message on their official Twitter handle. They also wrote, “Lady Superstar #Nayanthara joins the cast of #Thalaivar168 (sic)” Sources say that Meena will play Rajinikanth’s wife in the film and Keerthy Suresh will be seen playing the role of his sister. However, Nayanthara’s role in the film is yet to be known. Composed by D Imman, the makers are planning to complete the film by March. There are also reports that Rajini’s 169th film will be produced by Kamal Haasan and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj.
