A ctor-director Samuthirakani’s upcoming film Aduththa Saatai (sequel to Saatai) was supposed to hit the screens on September 5 to coincide with Teachers’ Day. However, it looks like there will be a change in the plan after Samuthirakani on his social media account wrote that the distributor of the film Libra Productions is no way connected to the film. Things became worse when Libra Productions responded to his tweet saying that the actor owed them Rs 50 lakh, the advance money they had invested in the release of the film.

When contacted, Ravinder lashed out at Samuthirakani. “With a week’s time left for release, the post-production work is yet to be completed. The film hasn’t been censored yet. I have spent a lot of money on promotions so far saying that the film will release on September 5, which is unlikely. I was humiliated at the Producers’ Council today where the office bearers asked me why I would try to save a film like Aduththa Saatai by agreeing to release it. If he has enough confidence on the content, he should have released it on his own or given it to some big banner. All said, I have now washed my hands off the film.” Samuthirakani was unavailable for a comment.
