Goethe-Institut Chennai’s Science Film Festival to go virtual this year from October 7 to December 20.

The Science Film Festival presents scientific issues accessibly and entertainingly to a broad audience and demonstrates that science can be fun. The event has grown considerably since its first edition in 2005, becoming the largest event of its kind worldwide. The festival has provided suggested teaching materials for learning activities connected to this year’s theme of sustainable development goals (SDGs) in partnership with the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), which complement the films. The award winners of the Science Film Festival 2020 will be announced online in January 2021.

The Science Film Festival presents a wide assortment of films in the following five categories to serve all age groups, but with a focus on content for young audiences. The categories are family edutainment, ecology and environment, natural science, life science and technology, non-verbal and science shorts, culture & History.
