Bhumika to play a pivotal role in Kannai Nambadhey

Actress Bhumika Chawla, who is known for her roles in Badhri and Sillunu Oru Kaadhal was last seen in Samantha’s U Turn. The actress, who awaits the release of Kolayuthir Kaalam this week has now signed Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Kannai Nambadhey.

Director of the film Mu Maran told DTNext, “If I reveal even a line about Bhumika’s role, I will be giving away a huge spoiler. It is such a pivotal role. When we were looking for an actress, who can give a strong comeback in Tamil with the film, she was our obvious choice.” Maran said that the team has completed 50 per cent of the project. “The majority of the film is being shot at night. It is a suspense thriller that has been shaping up really well,” he added. Produced by VN Ranjith Kumar under his Lipi Cine Krafts, the film stars Aathmika as the female lead.
