Akshay’s Bachchan Pandey is now Jigarthanda remake

Akshay Kumar had announced that he will be reprising Ajith’s role in Hindi remake of Veeram. Titled Bachchan Pandey, the shoot of the film was scheduled to go on floors in February.

The latest we hear is that the team has dropped the plan and will start shooting for the remake of the National-award winning film Jigarthandha that had Siddharth and Bobby Simha in lead roles. Sources say that Akshay Kumar will reprise Bobby Simha’s role in the film. Kriti Sanon is reported to play Siddharth’s role of an aspiring film director from the original. The film will hit the screens on January 22, 2021.
