CHENNAI: State Express Transport Corporation has directed its bus crew to operate all the buses arriving to Chennai to come via Tambaram for the benefit of passengers from the city.

In a circular dated February 16, SETC managing director said that all the SETC buses should stop after the Tambaram MTC bus terminus for the passengers to get down. "By operation of the buses through Tambaram, passengers travelling to Chrompet, Asarkana and Vadapalani will benefit and also have a chance of increasing the corporation's revenue," it said.

It, however, noted that those buses coming after 5 pm to Chennai through Perungalathur should be operated through the by-pass via Maduravoyal to reach Koyambedu.
