CK Nayudu Trophy: Tamil Nadu in a spot of bother

Tamil Nadu is facing a big defeat to Mumbai in the Col. CK Nayudu Trophy U-23 Elite B contest in Mumbai on Wednesday.

Chasing 209, Tamil Nadu is struggling at 31 for three at stumps on the second day. Earlier, Mumbai took a handy first innings lead of 82 runs after bowling out Tamil Nadu for 153 in first innings. The visitor’sbowlers rose to the occasion by dismissing the host for 126 in its second essay with R Sonu Yadav (3/33), L Kiran Akash (3/39) and RS Jaganath Sinivas (3/39) sharing nine wickets between them.

Brief scores:  Mumbai 235 all-out & 126 all-out in 32 overs (Tanush Kotian 58*, L Kiran Akash 3/39, R Sonu Yadav 3/33, RS Jaganath Sinivas 3/39) vs Tamil Nadu 153 all-out in 50.3 overs (D Gauri Sankar 53, Minad P Manjrekar 3/54, Anjdeep Lad 3/21) & 31 for 3 in 12 overs.
