Kalaignar means struggle, victory, says CM Stalin

CHENNAI: Chief Minister MK Stalin on Monday inaugurated the “Kalaignar Ulagam” memorial developed by the state for former Chief Minister and DMK president M Karunanidhi aka Kalaignar and said that the life and history of Kalaignar tells ‘us’ that Kalaignar means struggle and victory.

In a short video message released for the inauguration of the modern memorial, Stalin said, “Kalaignar means struggle! That is the message his life and history conveys to the world. Not only struggle, the memorial tells us that Kalaignar also means victory.”

Remarking that TN and they spin around the world of Kalaignar, the CM said, “Kalaignar will continue to rule the world. The world will continue to utter the name of Kalaignar.”

Stating that the various welfare schemes launched by the Dravidian stalwart live to speak his glory, the CM said that they had to fight to secure six feet land for the same Kalaignar who raised memorials aplenty for the great leaders of Tamil Nadu. Dravidar Kazhagam president K Veeramani, VCK leader Thol Thirumavalavan, MDMK leader Vaiko, leaders of Left parties and Congress also took part in the grand inauguration on Marina. Actor Rajinikanth was also present on the occasion.
