Memes fly high after Trump’s ‘Rocket Man’ comment, Elton Jong hits target

The snarky comment on the Asian maverick leader’s penchant for rockets unleashed a host of memes. Trump sounded off a warning to North Korea saying there was no option but to destroy that country. 

Quick witted twitterati immediately made the connection with Elton John’s 1972 mega hit song, Rocket man. The song even has the lines, Oh no no no I’m a rocket man, Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone. A number of memes were posted on the micro blogging site, including one of the North Korean leader striking a pose similar to Elton John’s seated at a piano. 

Another meme, a skilful photoshop of Kim and Elton John began to trend within hours. And then there was Stephen Colbert’s tweet that said, “90 % sure Trump nicknamed Kim Jong un Rocket man because he forgot his name.
