Meet the new stylist on the block

Remember, Santhanam’s suave look in Dhilluku Dhuddu? It is Kavitha who designed the actor’s makeover in much to the amazement of movie buffs. “Santhanam is a good looking actor. People failed to notice his sharp features when he was a comedian and stills from Dhilluku Dhuddu brought them out.” 

Who wouldn’t want to know about the experience of working with superstar in Lingaa. She smiles, “Initially I was an assistant for the movie and I had so much to learn from Nikhaar Dhawan. Half way through the movie, I was made the co-designer which opened the doors for me to work with Rajini sir. Working in Anjaan and Lingaa gave me the confidence to helm a movie’s costuming designing with ease.” 

Kavitha who recently worked for Karthi’s Kaashmora will also work in Santhanam’s yet untitled project. “ Kaashmora was another challenge. There is a specific portion of the movie which deals with historic characters. And you have to go in details with design patterns when you design for an actress like Nayanthara. I believe, her fans will like her look when the movie releases,” she signs off.
