CHENNAI: Sweet Spot, an eatery serving the best home-baked desserts from across the city, has collaborated with Davrah, a haven for filter coffee.

The newly-inaugurated outlet in Alwarpet is a place for someone with a sweet tooth and a huge appetite.

Some of the best-sellers at Sweet Spot are Nutella cheesecake, Lindt salted caramel, dairy milk biscuit pudding, assorted macaron, and golden biscoff among others.

We first started off with Nutella cheesecake. This creamy, chocolaty delight lived up to the hype and most certainly did not disappoint. The consistency of the cheesecake was spot on and did not have a crumby texture, disrupting the palate. The base of the cake was good. This is a must-try.

Their Lindt salted caramel was an exciting dish with interesting flavours. However, the flavour of salted caramel slightly overpowered the pastry. People who love Lindt will find themselves devouring this dessert. This particular dessert is apparently the most sought-after item on their menu and people can’t seem to get enough of it.

Like a hero, Davrah’s filter coffee emerged to save the overload of sweetness. Their strong piping hot filter coffee is so versatile that it goes with sweet and savoury items on Sweet Spot’s menu. Capitalising on the popularity of Korean culture, they introduced the Korean bun. This garlicky soft bun with cheese, cream cheese and herbs is phenomenal and addictive as well.

We then tried their dairy milk biscuit pudding. This gooey chocolate wonder which had biscuits sandwiched in between was very comforting. This particular dessert which is very generous in quantity is both filling and worth the price.

Sweet Spot ensures to retain the name of the home baker both on their menu and packaging. The quantity is very filling and is value for money. This particular outlet, however, is not as spacious as others and cannot cater to big crowds for dine-in. Customers can order through food delivery apps or even through their Instagram page. If you love desserts, this place will become your home.
