Dragging barricades: 5 youngsters arrested

Apart from N Karthik alias Peter of Vyasarpadi, who was reportedly held on Saturday, the other four accused who were arrested, have been identified as S Venkatesan (20) of Perambur, B Bharath (20) of Erukkancheri, S Jawahar Farooq (19) and R Muthuvel (20) of Kodungaiyur.

After the videos of youngsters dragging barricades went viral, Adyar traffic police booked a case and formed four special teams to nab them. Meanwhile, police came across a video on Facebook in which a youngster described how they scared police through the incident. Immediately, he was secured and with his inputs the other four too were detained. Meanwhile, on Sunday, another video of Peter apologising for their behaviour was circulated.
