A few actors from the film industry spoke about the need to protect animals. Actor Arav of Bigg Boss fame shared a photo on Instagram of himself with an elephant from the sets of Raja Bheema, saying, “Animals are better than humans. The most cruel animal in the world is humans. The world is not only for humans. Let’s live together with love, peace and harmony” (sic).
Ever since the news came out, there has always been misinformation revolving around the incident. Parvathy Thiruvothu wrote on Twitter, “Just how you jump at an opportunity to make this an anti-Muslim, hate campaign is astonishing. Focus on the problem. Animals are in danger because of cruel explosive snares. Talk about the actual issue here!” (sic). Prithviraj Sukumaran shared a post that debunked false claims about the elephant’s death.
