In a statement issued by TNCC working president K Jayakumar, the party announced that Vijayasundaram was being suspended from the party based on the recommendation of the disciplinary committee of TNCC with the consent of AICC in charge of TNCC Dinesh Gundu Rao.
Going by the statement, Vijayasundaram has been leveling baseless allegations against TNCC chief KS Alagiri owing to political animosity. The announcement also said the former district Congress president did not respond to a show cause notice issued by the disciplinary committee against him for posting derogatory comments about the party unit on social media.
