“I won the RK Nagar Assembly constituency because of a grounded politician like P Vetrivel. Though he lost his MLA seat due to the political ploy of those in AIADMK, he stood by the justice and loyalty. Retrieval of AIADMK and the defeat of DMK at the hands of AMMK will be the fitting reply for sacrifices made by the deceased party treasurer Vetrivel,” AMMK general secretary TTV Dhinakaran said in an emotional letter to AMMK cadres.

With a few family members of Vetrivel also testing positive, public were denied entry to console the bereaving family.
