Reacting to the budget presented by Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam, AMMK general secretary TTV Dhinakaran said it is the last budget of the AIADMK government.
Chennai: The budget has exposed how both the state and Centre has abandoned the public without adequate funds leading to a debt of Rs 4.5 lakh crore. The state administrators have let down the farmers and there is no major announcement for Delta farmers. The budget had also failed to clarify on the steps taken to clear the growing debt burden of the state. Every citizen is now burdened with Rs 57,000 debt due to the poor management of TN administrators. Both Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam frequent Delhi and claim good relationship with the Centre, but the Centre and state has let down the public in this budget, Dhinakaran said. In a statement, the RK Nagar MLA also wondered on what happened to the previous allocation of Rs 1,160 crore to clean Cooum. The state budget has again allocated Rs 5,439 for the same cleaning project and I hope at least now the rivers are restored, Dhinakaran added.
