Amid huge scams being unearthed in Group 4 and Group 2A exams, the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) on Tuesday announced that all the exam centres for the post of Veterinary Assistant Surgeon, will only be in Chennai.
However, in a sudden development, the Commission decided to conduct the written examination for the VAS recruitment at Chennai centres only. “Candidates who have opted for exam centres other than Chennai for this recruitment will be informed through SMS and e-mail,” the TNPSC said in an official release.
However, the TNSPC did not mention any reason for its decision to conduct exams only in Chennai. Sources from the Commission said that apart from Chennai, it was proposed that exams would be conducted in Madurai, Coimbatore, Tiruchy, Tirunelveli, Salem and Thanjavur.
A few days ago the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) had announced several reforms in the examination process for more transparency, including making Aadhaar card mandatory for candidates, to check impersonation. Five reforms will be brought in and implemented with immediate effect. TNPSC Secretary K Nanthakumar had said.
