Former Transport Minister V Senthil Balaji moved an urgent plea seeking anticipatory bail in the Madras High Court after his Karur and Mandaveli residences were raided by central crime branch (CCB) on Friday in connection with alleged job racket when he was the Minister.
Based on the complaint, the CCB has registered FIR against the former minister under various sections. Apprehending arrest in connection with the case, Balaji’s counsel made a mention before Justice N Seshasayee to take up the plea on urgent basis. Refusing to entertain the plea, the judge said that he would take up the matter on Monday. Balaji claimed that the case has been foisted against him at the instigation of the ruling party because of political rivalry.
