The State has no confirmed case of nCoronavirus with the samples of two more persons admitted to isolation wards at Government Hospitals in Tamil Nadu testing negative.
In Tamil Nadu, till date 24,401 travellers have been screened at the airports in Chennai, Tiruchy, Madurai, and Coimbatore. A total of 1,856 passengers who are put to isolation at their homes are being followed up for 28 days for any changes in their body condition.
“The public are advised to adhere to health advisories issued by the State government and should follow the cough etiquette by covering the face using a handkerchief and using a towel while sneezing and coughing. They should also frequently wash their hands with soap and water,” said Dr Kolandaisamy.
Officials added that all those who arrived with a travel history to China should remain under strict home isolation or hospital isolation for 28 days from the date of arrival in India.
