Forest Minister Dindigul C Sreenivasan held DMK president MK Stalin responsible for the fate of 18 MLAs, who were once loyal to TTV Dhinakaran, deputy general secretary of AMMK and got disqualified a couple of years ago.
Talking to reporters in Dindigul on Thursday, Sreenivasan refuting the claims of V Pugazhendi, ex secretary of AMMK’s Karnataka unit, said it was not only Dhinakaran, but also Stalin, was responsible for the disqualification of the 18 MLAs, whose lives were ruined. It was a deliberate move by both Stalin and Dhinakaran, who wanted to become Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister, respectively, he added.
Responding to queries, the Minister exuded confidence that the AIADMK would certainly win in the bypolls to Vikravandi and Nanguneri by a huge margin. On Stalin’s statement that BJP was ruling Tamil Nadu, the Minister said ‘Stalin is with us’ after referring to his recent statement thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his effort in arranging the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Mahabalipuram near Chennai.
