School of Management, Pondicherry University (PU), in collaboration with Indian Institute of Public Administration, Puducherry Chapter, organised a seminar on “Public Administration and People management in the recent scenario” and the IIPA Pondicherry Golden Jubilee Award programme at the university on Friday.
According to a Raj Nivas release here, the Lt Governor pointed out how the pioneering initiative like “Water Rich Puducherry” is evolved and how it is helping drought-prone areas of Puducherry. It is an example of management which involves seeing, learning and engaging with people, she said, adding that the management is not about position and it is a place of responsibility with accountability, transparency and integrity.
She advised the students to remain ethical and honest and focus on personal management along with professional management.
PU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Gurmeet Singh honoured Bedi with the prestigious ‘’Paul H Appleby’’ award for her distinguished service in the field of public administration.
