The CBI arrest of Congress leader and former union minister P Chidambaram has turned the heated debate between the ruling AIADMK and the DMK to an all time low.
Jayakumar also said that a leader like Chidambaram should face the court proceedings boldly and not shy away from the investigations and the arrest.
It may be noted that the when asked about Minister Jayakumar’s comment that Chidambaram had shamed the Congress and Tamil Nadu, Stalin remarked that he was not ready to respond to the comments of a “joker.”
Meanwhile, the DMK functionaries have started targeting Minister Jayakumar for his comments. “All that Minister Jayakumar knew is about playing rummy and card games, his taste has gone to an all time low and it is below our leader’s dignity to reply for people like Jayakumar,” said DMK advocate and spokesperson V Kannadasan.
It was the BJP which set the agenda for the arrest of Congress leader Chidambaram. The AIADMK Ministers are just blabbering what the BJP has taught them forgetting that their leader J Jayalalithaa is a convict in disproportionate assets case, Kannadasan added.
