Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy conveyed his Independence Day wishes through a report, in which he recounted our history of the fight for Independence from British and remembered Mahatma Gandhi and other freedom fighters’ sacrifice and valour.
In order to improve the lives of the freedom fighter he revised few policies like,
Their pensions will be raised from Rs 13,000 to Rs 15,000.
The monthly special pensions provided to the descendants of Veerapandia Katta Bomman, Marudhu brothers, Muthuramalinga Vijaya Ragunadha Sethupathi and VV Chidambaram’s granddaughter-in-law will be raised from Rs 6,500 to Rs 7,500.
The freedom fighters are provided bus pass free of cost.
He also stated that statues and memorial halls are set up in their remembrance.
He requested the people to take an oath to work unitedly to make India a developing country and Tamil Nadu a renowned state. Finally, he conveyed his Independence Day wishes to the people.
