State Electricity Minister P Thangamani on Sunday ruled out any power outage occurring due to the shortage of electricity supply in Tamil Nadu.
The Minister said that after the trial run, Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami will inaugurate the sub-station in two weeks. “The first high tension 110 kW sub-station was set up in Tiruchy on 18 April, 1905. In the last 114 years, 999 high tension sub-stations have been installed and this will be the 1000th one,” he said.
Thangamani gave credit to Tangedco officials and workers by pointing out that the State has been receiving uninterrupted power supply because of their work stretching through day and night. Higher Education Minister KP Anbalagan was also present.
