Congress district president Karate Thiyagarajan, a close supporter of former union minister P Chidambaram, on Tuesday took a swipe at Makkal Neethi Maiam leader actor Kamal Haasan by calling him a mouthpiece of the BJP. He also predicted that the fight in the state in future would be between DMK’s Stalin and superstar Rajinikanth.
The Chidambaram loyalist hit out at Kamal in the backdrop of rumours that Kamal was favourably disposed to ally with Congress for the ensuing Lok Sabha election. “Kamal says he wants to ally with Congress, but he is not uttering a word about BJP. He has not uttered a word about Rafale (scam) so far. If he wants to forge an alliance with Congress, he should talk about the BJP first. He is acting like a mouthpiece of the BJP,” said Thiyagarajan, who is also a well-known friend of Rajinikanth.
The outspoken Congress district president, who had affirmed Rajinikanth’s political success in future in the past, also said that there would be two political formations in Tamil Nadu in future. “One will be led by beloved brother MK Stalin and another by brother Rajinikanth. It will be a healthy fight between the two,” Thiyagarajan said. This is not the first instance when the Congress chief had forecast the political success of Rajinikanth.
