Chennai: 122 passengers bound for Siliguri are stranded at Chennai airport as parts of West Bengal are under a thick blanket of fog, reducing of visibility.
The Siliguri-bound Indigo flight was scheduled to depart at 9.10 am on Wednesday.
The passengers had completed all security checks and were in the process of boarding the flight when it was announced that Siliguri was facing dense fog and the visibility was close to zero. The temperature is the region had dipped to 17 degrees Celsius.

The passengers were then disembarked and sent to back to the lounge to wait for conditions to improve before services could be resumed.
