For the DVAC team, it was the raid on the office and house of M Panneerselvam, zonal officer of Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board, Vellore that yielded best of results. The sleuths had unearthed Rs 3.25 crore in cash and 450 sovereigns of gold from his house and another Rs 33.73 lakh in cash from his office.
Then came the house and office of Balamurgan, sub-registrar, Palanganathan from where the investigators seized Rs 4.09 lakh and Rs 2.19 lakh respectively.
