Based on this, the revenue department has embarked on selecting the sites for the construction of these Collectorate campuses, which ought to be at least 25 to 30 acres. After the confirmation from all the five districts Collectors’, we will give an estimation to the government. On approval the construction work will commence within three months,” said KP Sathyamurthy, Joint Chief Engineer, PWD – Buildings wing.
The government has already appointed the Collectors in the newly created district on a temporary basis for a year with effect from the date of functioning of the new districts. As of now, the Collectors are placed at the existing government building.
“It has been planned to bring all the government offices including taluk, sub – registrar, PWD and education in a single campus. Hence, if a person enters the building, they can visit all the government offices,” said Sathyamurthy.
