Chennai: Three persons, who snatched the walkie-talkie from a constable at Madhavaram Milk Colony, were tracked down and caught on Wednesday. The accused not only took away the equipment, but also threw it into the sewer. Karuppasamy, a constable attached to Madhavaram Milk Colony, was on night patrol duty near an Aavin milk booth where he stopped a speeding auto-rickshaw. Three men in the auto, who were in an inebriated condition, got into a fight with the cop. Following this, they escaped with his walkie-talkie fearing he might alert other officials to nab them.
