I have been working as an attendee in Blue Cross from 2014. My daughter got married to a drug addict and alcoholic and has four children. Seeing her suffer every day with those children makes me feel miserable. I work here every day to make both ends meet.
The salary I earn goes to repay the loans which have multiplied into a huge amount due to high interests. My ATM card is with my money lender. My husband, too, is a drunkard, so I can’t depend on him for my livelihood. Some days I even starve to feed my family. My son works as a painter. He recently suffered burns in electric shock and is bedridden now. My daughter works in a nearby mall and earns a meagre income. She is forced to leave her children alone, who would usually be roaming somewhere helplessly.
Even though I am surrounded by a plethora of problems, when I step inside here, the puppies and dogs make me forget everything. I see them as my own children and lord Bairava. I hope someday I would be rid of my problems in life and live happily as these puppies.
