Ramesh Krishnan, marketing consultant and numerology expert (39 years), Kolathur
I took up fortune prediction after being deeply influenced by a friend when I was pursuing ITI course in Chennai nearly two decades ago. He is from a Brahmin family in Nanganallur. His family was extremely disciplined and led a very spiritual and religious life. I was impressed by it and learnt some aspects of their everyday life like prayers, and also some numerology, astrology and began making predictions.
Soon I realised I had the gift of gab — they say this is extremely crucial if you need to engage people. I have been predicting the future for the last 15 years, and most of them say that the predictions are accurate.
I live with my wife, a homemaker, and two sons in Chennai. I am employed in the marketing department of a private company. I studied till Class 12 at a Tamil medium school and after that, I have been employed with food and soft drink companies for the last 18 years.
I predict people’s future when they approach me, it is not another occupation. I do it out of interest and at the same time, it is not free as well. I believe that you shouldn’t look at profits when it comes to prediction, but at the same time, you don’t do it for free, too.
