The team of Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal along with the director of the film Desingh Periyasamy visited the office of DT Next and spoke to us about some interesting on-location experiences ahead of the film’s release on Friday
The film also marks the acting debut of costume designer Niranjani Ahathian. “I’m also the costume designer of the film. The surprising thing is that I was able to convince Desingh as an actor. It was the costume designing part, where we both had a few discussions for the film to look colourful. It was a great fun working in the film,” she said. Desingh said that VJ Rakshan has made the work easy for people in charge of dubbing in the studio after working with him in KKK. “I play Dulquer’s friend in the film. This is my first movie and I’m getting to learn the art of dubbing. I must agree that for a particular scene, I had 26 retakes. Now that the dubbing studio has worked with me, they can handle any artiste with ease,” laughed Rakshan. Desingh also complimented Rakshan’s work as a VJ and said, “His timing is impeccable and to be an anchor of a comedy show isn’t easy. He even outperformed the judges, who are veteran comedians in the industry.” Ritu said that shooting for a film was fun on the sets, “We shot for the film in Goa and Desingh had to literally drag us for each and every shot. Apart from that we also shot in North East twice. Overall, it has been a memorable film for the entire unit,” she concluded.
