He later directed a 3D film, which is yet to hit the screens. Now, Adhik has surprised the audience by releasing the first look poster of his fourth directorial venture, Bagheera, which has choreographer-turned-actor Prabhudheva as the protagonist.
Talking about it, Adhik says, “Bagheera will showcase Prabhudheva in a different light. We have shot almost 50 per cent of the film and it has come out well. He is a very powerful performer and I was completely in awe of him during shoot.” On the film’s title, he says, “Bagheera is inspired from a fictional character in The Jungle Book. Prabhudheva’s role will be identical to this character and it will be new for the audience. The film will be a psycho-mystery thriller laced with lots of surprises and twists.”
Ask him how it all happened, he says, “I was discussing the script with my friend, cinematographer Abhinandhan a year ago. It was him who suggested me to narrate it to Prabhudheva sir. He loved it. However, he got busy with the release of Gulaebhagavali and our meetings kept postponed. I met him again during the premiere of the film. He immediately gave me the dates. That’s how things fell in place,” he concludes.
