Recently, it was announced that acclaimed director Mysskin and Vishal would reunite for the sequel of their 2018 hit crime thriller Thupparivalan.
The former, too, visited London to finalise locations and his pictures from the popular Sherlock Holmes museum were a hit on social media. The latest we hear is that veteran actress Gautami has been approached to play a pivotal role in the film.
“Mysskin met Gautami in the city and narrated the script. Impressed with her character, she has agreed to be part of it. However, she is yet to sign up. Her character will be an intense one, as the entire story revolves around it.” We also hear that actor Rahman will be sharing screen space with her in the film.
In Thupparivaalan, Vishal played a detective called Kaniyan Poongundran, inspired from Sherlock Holmes. Actor Prasanna played his assistant, a character that resembled Sherlock’s partner Dr Watson.
“Prasanna will also be part of Thupparivalan 2. The film will go on floors in a couple of weeks.” the source adds. Lovely Singh will be seen playing the female lead in the film.
