National-award winning director Vetri Maaran’s recent flick, Asuran, made the cash registers ring at the box office and its content created a huge stir on social media. Now, we hear that Vetri Maaran has approached Suriya for a new project and the latter has instantly agreed without even listening to the script.
“Suriya’s project with Siruthai Siva has been postponed as the latter began working on his project with Rajini, produced by Sun Pictures. That’s one of the reasons why Suriya is considering doing a film with Vetri Maaran. Also, he was impressed with Vetri’s Vada Chennai and Asuran, and had apparently asked him if he has any scripts of that genres. However, nothing has been finalised yet,” a source said.
Suriya is currently working on the post production work of Sudha Kongara’s Soorarai Pottru, which is likely to hit the screens on Christmas. Meanwhile, Vetri Maaran is also working on a film with comedian Soori in the lead role.
