This is the actor’s first project post the accusation by Tanushree Dutta in the MeToo controversy.
Interestingly, this is the first film that Nana Patekar has given a nod post the accusation by actress Tanushree Dutta in the MeToo controversy. A source close to the team confirmed, saying,”Nana Patekar has signed the project. However, he will join the sets of the film only in the second schedule, which will be shot in Istanbul. An official announcement will be made in the coming days.”
We also hear that the actor will be playing a negative role and it will similar to the one he played in Rajini’s Kaala. The team has also signed Iranian actor Elnaaz Norouzi for a crucial role.
Tentatively titled JR 25, the film is being made on a mammoth budget of Rs 60 crore. Tapsee Pannu, Dayana Erappa, Rahman and MS Bhaskar will also be part of the project. Major portions are currently being shot in Azerbaijan, and the team is planning to complete the film in a couple of months.
