Zoom photography has been one of the traditional weak links for smartphone cams.
Oppo opts for a quad rear cam with the Reno 2, that includes a 48MP primary lens (f/1.7 aperture) and a 13MP telephoto lens. The Reno 2’s standout feature is the 5X hybrid zoom and 20X digital zoom on this rear cam. One of the features we liked about the first Reno flagship was its selfie cam. This device also features the same cool shark-fin rising selfie cam (16 MP) that we first spotted on the Reno 10X Zoom. The big difference between these two devices is the choice of processor. Oppo opts for a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G Processor, that isn’t as formidable as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Processor under the hood of the Oppo Reno 10X Zoom.
The shark-fin selfie cam keeps the display very immersive and stretches the screen-to-body ratio to 93.1%. The 6.55-inch Full HD+ display (1080 x 2400 pixels) is one of our favourite features of this device. This smartphone features a formidable hardware spec sheet — 8GB of RAM with 256 GB of internal memory. The 4000 mAh battery gets a boost with Oppo’s proprietary VOOC charging that powers up the device in quick time. (Rs 36,990)
