Actually it’s not just about desire and duty, it is the time within which we need to finish our duty and manifest our desire. No matter whatever we do, we can never shorten or expand time. That is the reason our Shastra says, “Kala is the ultimate representation of God”.
Kala means time, that which never changes for anybody, that which can never be changed by anybody. A divine quality, it is one of the highest truths of Dharma. In that way, time is divine because it can never be expanded or shortened by anybody.
Many people fail to understand the real reason for Stress. It’s not because of the work they do; it’s the work they need to finish within the given time. The real stress is not the problem you face in life, it is the fear and anxieties about life whether you will able to manifest what you want within the given time. And for that reason you are in a hurry to finish what you want to do.
I am not here do give you any special advice or suggestion. Everybody takes it for granted that human beings are fools and they need some advice from some other human being to bring success to their life. The highest truth about human being is that we have Budhi.
Budhi is entirely different from skill, animals don’t have budhi, they have divine intelligence. A frog will never commit a mistake by laying its eggs on land. In spite of knowing that only few eggs will survive in water, they will never lay eggs on land. Similarly a crocodile will never lay its eggs in water in spite of knowing that they have all the power in the water. This will never change as this is divine design.
What is Budhi? Budhi is not knowing new information. In English we may replace it with the word intellect but Budhi is beyond intellect or intelligence. Budhi is a natural quality and ability of every human being acquired by birth.
Learning From One’S Own Mistake
The first aspect of Budhi is that even if nobody is going to teach you what is right and wrong, you will have the ability to correct yourself when you commit a mistake. You don’t need a teacher to teach you; the pain you suffered will teach you how to avoid it. You will naturally never repeat it. For example you burnt your finger while removing a hot vessel from stove. Next time you will avoid touching it directly. You will use a cloth to remove it. This doesn’t need any teaching. So the first aspect of Budhi is learning from one’s own mistake.
Learn From Others Mistake
The second one is the highest quality and the blessing for human beings. You alone have the ability to learn from others’ mistake to avoid the pain and suffering in the present and in the future. We humans not only learn from our own mistake but we are blessed with the ultimate power to learn from others’ mistake and prevent ourselves from going through pain and suffering.
It May Be Meaningless And Pointless But Not Harmless
In spite of having this quality, we still go through stress, anxiety, fear, depression etc. What can be the reason? It’s because most of your desires are meaningless and purposeless. Most of the time you worry for things which never happened to you or which will never happen to you. And this is the third ultimate power of Budhi.
At times your worry may be meaningless and pointless but not harmless. This is the point one needs to understand. For that reason you should use your budhi to understand what I am trying to convey in this article. When you ask yourself why you are worrying, automatically your mind will tell the reason. Results says 99% of the reason for your worries are the things that you are attached to, for example your favourite cricket team is not winning or your favourite actor’s movie is not running successfully or your favourite dress got stained etc. All these are worries according to your mind and body; it doesn’t know whether the worry is small or big.
Awareness About The Consequence
It’s a fact that mind and body are interconnected. This awareness will help you drop all the present worries. This is the highest teaching of great scholars including Buddha. I insist you to take little more effort to have awareness at least about the consequence. This is the fourth aspect of budhi. With awareness about the consequence, budhi will always choose the best effect for you. Keep yourself aware about the consequence. This worry is going to harm you immediately. Research says that more than 83% of heart, brain & digestion issues are due to unwanted fear and anxiety in our mind. Mind and body are interlinked always and it is indispensable that if you are anxious or worried, you will have to go through various health problems like blood pressure, heart problems, palpitation, indigestion, brain disorder due to stress etc.
Meditation – The Only Solution
There is only one real solution for all these problems and that is meditation (not medication) Meditation is not just a spiritual practice; it is a physical exercise in which you use your human power to connect with the divine power. If you do some physical exercise, say push ups regularly, you will gain upper body strength. Similarly if you meditate regularly with commitment, your mental ability and awareness to avoid anxiety, fear and worries will get bigger and stronger more than you ever imagined. You can achieve it only through meditation with commitment. This is one of the highest reasons why human beings are not able to achieve real success and succumb to psychosomatic & mental disorders. Most of them are aware of the harmful effects of stress, anxiety and worries. But without getting into the right action of committing oneself to meditation regularly, these problems cannot be resolved.
Accept After Analysis
This is the ultimate secret human beings need to realise using their Budhi and this is the last quality of Budhi. Budhi can accept anything only after analysis. So don’t accept whatever I have discussed above just because a spiritual teacher is sharing it with you. Take time to analyse about the information that is shared, in that very process Budhi will come to a conclusion and you will realise that the real solution to all these problems is only meditation and this will change every aspect of life. You will experience many invisible changes that you can’t even imagine; not just in the physical level but mentally where you won’t be able to explain the peace that you enjoy.
It is your life, it is your destiny. Always remember no one is waiting to you help you or no one is going to wipe your tears when you cry or when you fear. It is you who has to take care of yourself, it is you who has to protect your peace and future, it is you who has to realise the truth about life. Wait no more, your life is your creation, your fate is your decision. There is nothing that cannot be reversed or changed once you understand this truth. I promise you can understand this when you make use of your Budhi. Wishing you a life full of peace, success and happiness!!!
