Director AMR Ramesh, who is known for directing movies on popular political personalities, is all set to direct a web series on Velupillai Prabhakaran, the leader of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE).
According to reports, the director has stated that he is in talks with Kollywood actor Vijay Sethupathi to play the role of Prabhakaran. An official confirmation is awaited on this regard.
AMR Ramesh has previously directed movies on Sandalwood smuggler Veerappan and assassination of Rajiv Gandhi.
Vijay Sethupathi recently received backlashes after he signed the film '800', which is a biopic of Sri Lankan cricketer Muttiah Muralidharan. After continuous trolls and negative comments, the actor exited from the project.
