Nike’s plus-size figures to end body shaming get criticised further
One of the issues that the fashion industry is notoriously known for is its bias towards lean body types. Shattering this norm, Nike has installed plus-size mannequins at its outlet on Oxford Street in London. The mannequins sport active wear introduced by Nike for the current season.
While the female mannequins don a sports bra and slacks, this step has received mixed responses from the public. Though some have appreciated the brand’s initiative to fight body shaming by promoting that all body types, others have criticised saying that the mannequins promote obesity.

Israeli man uses avocado painted as grenade to rob two banks
In an unusual case of robbery, an Israeli man has been arrested for robbing two banks with the use of an avocado which he posed it to be a grenade by painting it black. The 47-year-old unidentified man who stole cash worth Rs six lakh from two banks is now facing charges for his crime. He entered the Postal Bank branch in mid-May and handed the cashier with a note that read, “Hand over the money in the drawer.”
While one hand, the man faked an avocado to be a grenade, he even goofed-up the spelling of the word drawer in Hebrew. The man who robbed both the banks in similar fashion, used hats, sunglasses and an eye patch to hide his facial identity. However, he was tracked using cell phone locations.
