The trailer of Ajith’s Nerkonda Paarvai was unveiled by the makers on Wednesday. Within one hour of its release, the trailer clocked five lakh views.
Unlike its Hindi trailer that emphasises more on the girls, the Tamil trailer has struck a fine balance between Ajith and the girls (played by Shraddha Srinath, Abirami Venkatachalam and Andrea Tariang. Vinoth clarifies that it wasn’t for commercialisation purposes.
“Ajith sir was clear from the beginning that he is one of the characters in the film and ensured that nothing should be tweaked for his mass appeal. In fact, I had told him that we will be doing the film as it is and that is what made him agree to do Nerkonda Paarvai. Ajith has done exactly what Amitabh Bachchan has done in Hindi and we haven’t added anything for the Tamil audience. The subject is universal and will cater to our audience by default. However, the body language of Ajith and Big B is totally different, and they have their own ways of delivering dialogues. That will be the only visible and major difference between Pink and Nerkonda Paarvai,” he explained.
The trailer ends with the dialogue, ‘To prove your loyalty to one, why humiliate the other’. “This might look like a dialogue with a mass appeal when you see this in the trailer. You will know the context only when you watch the film.” Produced by Boney Kapoor’s Bayview Project, Nerkonda Paarvai is expected to hit the screen on August 10. Vinoth is directing his next with Ajith as well that will be produced by Boney Kapoor again. “There is no tentative date yet. We will begin the shoot once I finish scripting the film. As of now, I am focused on the post production work of this film,” he concluded.
