Ahmedabad barber hits sweet jackpot, gets paid Rs 30,000 for road-side haircut
A roadside barber in Ahmedabad couldn’t believe his good fortune when Harald Baldr, a foreigner, paid him Rs 30,000 instead of Rs 20 for a haircut. In a video which has been uploaded on YouTube, Harald said he was very much impressed with the barber’s honesty and dedication.
Harald took the help of a local person for translation and made the barber understand that he was donating money so that he could buy some new tools and do something good for his family. The gesture left several bewildered. However, there were many who praised Harald for trying to improve the life of a poor man.
Kashmiri girl ‘reports’ on heavy snowfall, wins hearts on social media
In a video that has now gone viral, a young Kashmiri girl is seen pretending to be a journalist. She filed a mock report on the heavy snowfall in south Kashmir’s Shopian district. She uses a marble slab as a mic and even interviews other kids. Giving details of the secret tunnel, she describes how the accumulated snow has almost reached the height of the first floor and little kids have built a hide-out in it. Her ‘reporting’ has won several hearts on social media with a few real journalists praising her skills. They have even called for her to be given an internship in a TV channel.
