People laud video of US bride dancing with terminally-ill father
Mary Bourne Butts, a professional dancer from Alabama, USA, chose her wedding day to stage a dance performance with her father Jim, who suffers from a terminally-ill condition called glioblastoma. Choreographed to a slow song, the video of the four-minute performance depicts the daughter twirling around her father, who is seated on a wheelchair. Dressed in her white wedding gown, Mary “preciously” swoops down to hug her father, take his arms to swing them with her, all the while gliding the wheelchair around the stage. Her performance won over both the wedding guests and the folks on the internet, as many proclaimed it be the “best thing” they’ve “seen all day.”
