Vivek Oberoi is essaying the role of India’s fourteenth Prime Minister.
In the poster, Vivek can be seen donning an orange khadi kurta, while his hair and beard are white. The actor’s body language and posture bear an uncanny resemblance to the PM.
The poster was released in 23 different Indian languages and was unveiled by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in Mumbai. Vivek Oberoi took to Twitter to share the first look. The film’s tagline reads as ‘Deshbhakti hi meri shakti hai’ and the film’s team has been working on the project for the past two years. It is produced by Suresh Oberoi and Sandeep Singh and the poster.
In what may seem as a bid to overshadow the release of The Accidental Prime Minister on January 11, the PM Modi biopic is expected to go on floors in mid-January. The news of the biopic started doing the rounds just weeks after the Anupam Kher starrer made headlines for its appealing and controversial trailer.
Apart from this, the Thackeray trailer, too, based on the life of Shiv Sena supremo Balasaheb Thackeray faced backlash for harbouring anti-South Indian sentiments.
