Goat was show stopper at Tony Awards
The red carpet at the Tony Awards on Sunday night had the usual dose of well-dressed celebrities. But what caught everyone’s attention was not the designer tag on the dresses. It was Once on This Island star Sparky, a goat. “Sparky provided tough competition for the night’s biggest stars, which included Denzel Washington, Bruce Springsteen, Amy Schumer, Kerry Washington, Glenda Jackson, Andrew Garfield and more, that gathered at Radio City Music Hall for the 72nd annual Tony Awards,” reported the media. Dressed in a tux, Sparky was accompanied by the producer of the musical, Ken Davenport. The clean-up crew had to be pressed into service just after Sparky’s calm, graceful walk because he found the red carpet an appealing place to excrete.
Afridi trolled for ‘chained lion’ tweet
Shahid Afridi’s tweet on June 9 has gone viral but not for good reasons. Afridi uploaded two images - one of him feeding milk to a fawn and the other showed his daughter imitating her father’s style of celebration after taking a wicket. But what caught everyone’s attention was a chained lion in the background. The caption read: “Great to spend time with loved ones. Best feeling in the world to have my daughter copy my wicket taking celebrations. And yes don’t forget to take care of animals, they too deserve our love and care :)”. But the users of the micro-blogging site did not agree that a chained lion shows his love for animals. Users wasted no time and tweeted out their anger and disapproval of the post.
